Right before the volleyball season started, I got a note from a Lake Travis volleyball fan informing me that the Lady Cavs had a great shot at state.
“No they don’t,” I remember thinking. “But thanks for the e-mail.”
It’s safe to say you could definitely count me among the skeptics.

Incredible end to an incredible season

Talk about the wrong ending to a great story.
Lake Travis (37-10) fought until the bitter end, but lost its state semifinal match to Highland Park Thursday night at Strahan Coliseum in San Marcos, 20-25, 25-15, 20-25, 26-24 and 17-15.

Highland Park outlasts Lake Travis in five games

Lake Travis (37-10) pushed Highland Park to the brink of elimination Thursday night at Strahan Coliseum, but fell 17-15 in the fifth game of the state semifinal match.

Lady Cavs advance to Region IV final

Lake Travis (36-9) will play in the 4A Region IV volleyball final at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio after sweeping Medina Valley 25-17, 25-15 and 25-10, in the regional semifinal today.

Lady Cavs win Area Championship

Lake Travis crushed Boerne Champion in the Area Championship Friday night in Wimberley, 3-0.
They will face rival Dripping Springs in the regional quarterfinal.
That match is tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday night at the Tony Burger Athletic Center in Austin.

Lake Travis moves up to No.4 in state volleyball rankings

The Lady Cavaliers (30-7, 7-0) continue to climb the state rankings – now at No.4 in 4A – a week after putting away Marble Falls and Killeen in two three-game sweeps.
Though, at first, Marble Falls wasn’t interested in being swept for the second time this year by Lake Travis.
